“There can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul than the way in which it treats its children.”

Nelson Mandela

My Philosophy

I believe that all children and adolescents have a right to accurate, comprehensive, developmentally-aligned human development and sexuality education in a safe and compassionate context, as well as opportunities to practice skills that will lead to greater self awareness and the ability to create healthy and sustaining intimate relationships. That kind of education happens when you are truly connected with your students, understand their points of view and engage with them in meaningful and relevant ways.

I believe that parents want to be empowered to guide their children and teens towards healthy choices, a positive sense of self, and fulfilling relationships according to their own values. They are able to do that when someone uncovers what they already know: how to affirm their children and nurture them through the joys and challenges of life.

My Approach

When I work with a school, I am engaging in a relationship with them. Their mission leads our work as we discover together what programming will best serve the needs of their students and community.

Students are at the center of my teaching. I engage them where they are with their questions, wonderings and needs leading the way. Facilitating real conversations that are grounded in their lives is my specialty.

Providing you human development program consultation and ongoing support

Every school has its own culture and values. I can work with your school to develop a plan that meets your school’s unique needs. This can include curricula development, classroom teaching, teacher training and/or parent engagement. And, if you are ready, we can build a comprehensive mission-aligned program from the ground up.
